Lisa (리사 lisa) was born on March 27, 1997 (age 28) in Buriram, Thailand. She is a main dancer, sub-vocalist, lead rapper and the maknae of the group BLACKPINK.[1]
Personal life
Lisa was born Pranpriya Manoban and she later legally changed her first name to Lalisa. Her ethnicity and nationality is Thai. Lisa's biological parents' names have not been released to the public. Swiss renowned chef Marco Bruschweiler is her stepfather, who is currently active in Thailand.
For her education, Lisa attended Praphamontree II School. As a child, Lisa was a model and dancer. She made a successful audition to the YG Entertainment Competition in 2010, when she was only 13 years old. She ranked first place in said competition, and was offered by Yang Hyun-suk to become a YG Entertainment trainee, to which Lisa agreed. In 2011, she moved to South Korea to begin her formal training in performing for her K-Pop Idol career, which lasted five years. During this time, she was a member of a dance group named We Zaa Cool along with fellow Thai K-Pop Idol trainees, Bambam and Ten.

June 7, 2016, she was revealed as the second member of BLACKPINK.[2]
2016-present: BLACKPINK, solo
On August 8, 2016, Lisa debuted with the single album SQUARE ONE as a main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist, and the maknae of BLACKPINK.[3]
On 2020, Lisa served as the dance mentor on the 2020 Chinese girl group survival Youth With You 2.
On 2021, Lisa returned as the dance mentor of Chinese boy group survival show Youth With You 3.
On September 10, Lisa debuted as a solo with her first single album LALISA.
On October 22, Lisa released the single "SG" in collaboration with French record producer DJ Snake, Puerto Rican singer Ozuna and American rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
On April 25, 2023, Lisa was featured in Taeyang's second mini album Down to Earth's track "Shoong! (feat. LISA of BLACKPINK)".
On December 29, YG announced BLACKPINK did not renew individual contracts for solo activities in the company.[4] Although the group will still promote under YG, Lisa solo activities will be managed by LLOUD.
On February 8, 2024, Lisa announced LLOUD, her own recording label.[5]
On April 10, LLOUD announced that Lisa has also signed with American record label RCA Records to manage her activities in the United States.[6]
On June 28, Lisa released her first English single album ROCKSTAR.
On August 16, Lisa released her first English digital single "New Woman (feat. ROSALÍA)" in collaboration with Spanish singer Rosalía.
On September 21, LLOUD shared a snippet of Lisa's upcoming single with the caption 'So kiss me 🌙💋'.[7] On October 4, Lisa released second English digital single "Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)".
On February 7, 2025, Lisa released her third English digital single "Born Again (feat. Doja Cat & RAYE)" in collaboration with American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer Doja Cat and English singer-songwriter Raye.
On February 28, 2025, Lisa released her debut studio album Alter Ego.
On April 11 and 18, she performed at U.S festival Coachella 2025.

As a main dancer of BLACKPINK , she is considered to be one of the most outstanding dance singers among K-POP idols of her generation and all generations.

In April 2019, Lisa became the most followed K-pop idol on Instagram after surpassing Exo's member Chanyeol.
While Lisa landed her first solo magazine cover for Harper's Bazaar Thailand's May 2019 issue, MEI, a distributor of Harper's Bazaar, reported that all 120,000 printed copies in stock were sold out. It was reported that, on average, 30,000 copies are normally printed, and well-known celebrities have an average of 60,000 copies printed. However, despite selling 120,000 copies, the public's demand was still not met.
Following Lisa's attendance at the Celine Fashion Show for Men's Spring Summer 2020 collection in Paris, France, during Paris Fashion Week, Lyst reported that global searches for Celine's Triomphe bag leapt 66% on June 28, 2019, after she published an image of the style on her social media, thus garnering attention among the public.

On September 17, 2019, after torrential rain brought by a monsoon caused flooding across 32 Thai provinces, Thai beauty blogger Koi Onusa, a relative of Lisa, revealed that Lisa had donated ฿100,000 to Thai actor Bin Bunluerit's fund to help those evacuated in the floods as disaster relief.
